DownRight v3.0

After the last tribulation (a not working DownRight v2.1 - in MIE5/6, that is!) here is a new DownRight (fixed 960px width) v3.0.

Hmmm ... right! ... the main column does not load first.

Apart from that this one is healthy!

DownRight v3.0

At work The White Knight Is Talking Backwards ... so I cannot find the serenity to tackle the little v2.1 bugger.

I'll visit my cherished Skiermûntseach first (a tranquil Week Off: strolling the beach - enjoying my company - reading Pratchett - flying my kites) ... !

I will pray that the White Knight learns how to talk frontwards...LOL...so you can fix the v2.1.

I want to stick with the center load first, so I'll just hangout till you get to it.

Blessings of serenity, and tranquility are directed your way!

I downloaded and installed the Downright v.3.0 3 columns and the main column loads in IE but it stays at the bottom of the page : look at this : http://mamamiiia.blogspot.com/search/label/on%20parle%20de%20Mamamiiia

Please, can we do something to fix this?

Hi,
I'm using this template for my blog and yes the main column doesn't load first but I'm not worried about that, I seem to have a problem viewing my blog on IE 7 I'm not sure if the problem is in the template or what.. can you please help me?

Hey there! I can't seem to get bullets working properly on Blogger 2.0. The actual bullets don't appear, though my text is indented as though it was. Any idea?

thur said...

Hi Dee,

Your blog looks fine to me in MIE7.
What is the problem?

Hi TAG,

That is because I have code the lists as

.sidebar li, .post li {
font-size: 1em;
list-style: none;
}

If you want bullets you should delete the list-style: none; line!

Hi Mamamiiia!,

Uhhh ... again ... blog looks fine to me (though I haven't checked MIE6).

Regards,

Thur

thur, please help.

I got the same problem with mamamiiia, all the labelled stuffs shown after the left or right side bar appeared. Mine is IE6. :(

Mamamiiia! said...

Hi,

My problem is with MIE 6 - the main column is pushed at the bottom.

Thanks

Mamamiiia! said...

I forgot to mention that the problem happens when I clic on a label to get to a specifi page. Otherwise, it looks fine. In MIE6, still.

so much for the new template i STILL have that same post bleed i had with 2.1

i started a new blog and that bug where the post image bleeds into the previous post is back again.

i can't remember how we tweaked the last template...so i downloaded 3.0 and it still has that problem.

any ideas how to fix it oh grand and merciful one?

Dank u well!

I implemented DownRight Theme 3.0 at Twelve Years Of Being Annoyed By Chloe Sevigny. I like the look very much, but am having a small problem with my left side column.

When I change the blog archive to 'heirarchy' that border expands out to the middle of the page. Have tried making the sidebar font very small, expanding column size, but doesn't seem to work.

Strangely, I had this problem when I first implemented the template, then it was fine for several days after doing the above fixes. For some reason today, the border started jumping to the center of the page again.

Has anyone else fixed a similar issue?

Hi. Sorry to bother you, but I am pretty much an amateur at CSS. I'm using one of your older stylesheets at the moment. I'd like to use a new Blogger template, but I can't get my banner at the top of any of them. I tried with one of your newer Blogger templates, but no matter where I stuck the code for the banner image, it just wouldn't appear in the blog. So where do I stick it? How do I get a banner up using the newer style sheets? And will I be able to insert images in either side column for that matter?

If you have this information somewhere else, I apologise for making you repeat or show the link. I just couldn't find it easily. It's hard to wade through all the CSS jargon.

any advice on background colors? I'm using the DownRight v1.4 template, but I want to use the color scheme from your Rounders templates.

I'm not savvy enough with the variables options to know how to make the blog background one color, and the post & column backgrounds a different color. Any advice?

Thanks!

Hi, love the template, and I'm trying it out on my test blog @ When Pets Attack. I've noticed that in Firefox and IE6, there are light grey lines which appear in the main column. Also, if you click on a Label category (in the top-right corner), the layout of the page creates a large blank spot at the top of the middle column. Looks ok in Firefox, though. Any ideas>

I want to thank you for creating these free three-column templates! However, there seems to be a problem viewing them in Internet Explorer. The main body text is being centered.
One of my blogs,

Odd problem has come up with the Downright 3.0 template. When I search my labels or search the blog for a topic, the main column goes down the page and doesn't start until the left column finishes.

http://the2scoops.blogspot.com/search/label/the%20office

Any chance of a fix or a tip on what to alter?

Thanks for the template, I still like it!

Same problem here with IE 6, except that the first post looks fine, it's the second post that it pushes down below where the right sidebar stops.

Thoughts? (Besides removing everything in the right sidebar :D

I have not found a way to contact you, so please forgive this placement. There is an error in the code of Minima 3-col 960 blue that results in the center column text color also being used in both side columns, ignoring the $sidebartextcolor variable.

I discovered that you used the wrong names. This section should begin like this instead:

/* Sidebar Content
----------------------------------------------- */
.sidebar1, .sidebar2 {
color: $sidebartextcolor;
line-height: 1.5em;
}

Thank you for sharing your work!

Hi!!! I downloaded your amazing template Downright_v1.4 and installed it today (thanks!!! ;)), everything was going great, but suddenly some links froze (they just don't work (even if I write them again).

The arrows of the archives, for example don't work (the right and left columns). Some quick edit buttons work, but not others... I just noticed this 10 minutes ago!!! do you know if there's something I'm doing wrong?

it doesn't happen with the posts and the links in the middle.

Thanks again for your help.

Hi, I think I've been using this template for a month already and I'm extremely happy about it. It's amazing. There is a 'little' problem though. I went to an internet cafe a couple of days ago and when I opened my site, the first post would usually separates from the comments. The main column would break leaving a large blank space.

Example:

TITLE

This is the body of the post. his is the body of the post. his is the body of the post. his is the body of the post. his is the body of the post. his is the body of the post.

HaHaHa. I hope u got my little illustration. The dots are the blank spaces. So when I post a short entry, the blank space is usually bigger. I think it's because the computers in most cafes have lower resolution or something, isn't it? Because in our e-library, I can't see any problem. Well, I hope u can give an answer. Thanks a million. Loved it, so far.
